Capsicum Fry

This fry is easy to make. And it goes well with variety rice, curd rice and sambar rice.

Ingredients

Green Capsicum - 1
Ginger and Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Sambar powder - 1/2 tsp
Ground nut powder - 1 tsp
Salt
Oil

Method

Cut the Capsicum into small thin slices
Grind the ground nut

Heat the oil in the pan. Add ginger and garlic paste stir for 1 minute now add the sliced capsicum and stir. Within 5 to 10 minutes it cooks now add red chilli, turmeric, sambar powder and salt stir it and leave to cook for another 10 minute. Now fry is over, time to add ground nut powder and stir. Serve hot with curd rice, sambar rice or any variety rice.

Note:

If you want more you can double the measurement

Potato Masal

This recipe is wonderful and very easy to make. It goes very well with Puri, Chapati and you can use this masal for masal Dosa. I just use the masal to roll the Chapati for my kid she loves to eat chapati with this.

Ingredients

Potato - 3
Big Onion - 1 or 1 1/2
Green Chilli - 2 or 3
Ginger - small piece
Chana dal -1 tsp
Curry leaf 
Mustard seed and Urad dal
Whole red chilli - 2
Oil
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves (optional)

Method

Boil the Potato, peel  the skin and mash it pieces
Cut the onion and green chilli in lengthy wise 
Chop the ginger in very small size

Heat the oil and add red chilli then mustard seed and urad dal when it splutters add chana dal, curry leaf and ginger. Add Onion and fry when the colour turns add green chilli. Add turmeric powder and salt and fry, then add 1 or 1 1/2 cup water. Once the water come to boil now add mashed piece potato and close the lid and allow to cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Now and then stir the masal. Time to check the salt and water consistency, the masal looks perfect consistency once cooks over and its like thick consistency. Decorate your masal with coriander leaves but its optional. Ready to serve with Puri, Chapati.
